Article Publication Charges (APCs)

Journal of Commerce and Trade is not a funded Journal. Even it does not accepts and publishes any advertisement. It also maintains full academic integrity. All articles published in Journal of Commerce and Trade are open access and freely available online for view, cite or download multiple times, immediately upon publication. This is made possible by an article-processing charge (APC) that covers the range of publishing services we provide. APCs are not commitment for any paper. Payment of APCs does not guarantee the publication of your paper in any form.

The APCs will be charged either to you, your funding agency or your institution when, your manuscript is editorially accepted .

Why APCs are required ?

APCs are not publication commitment for any paper. APCs basically are not for paper acceptance or publication. It includes other costs as:

  1. Typesetting or Designing of the paper.
  2. Maintaining website uninterruptedly so that you do not lose your important data.
  3. Maintaining Life Time Visibility of Author’s Work on Website. (First issue of JCT can be observed on our website even after 20 years.)
  4. Various Fees like, domain, developer, webspace, software updates.
  5. Plagiarism Software royalty.
  6. DOI allotment Charges.
  7. Indexing & Archiving to other sites.
  8. QR Code and Metadata handling and supply.
  9. Print Copy. (All A4 size Full CMYK Colour with tech-interface.)
  10. Other petty miscellaneous costs.
  11. Delivery of the Print Copy.
  12. Certificate of Paper Publication.

Who is responsible for making or arranging the payment ?

The corresponding author of the manuscript is responsible for making or arranging the payment (for instance, via your institution) upon editorial acceptance of the manuscript.

When the APCs are fixed to pay ?

The APC payable for an article will be determined from the date on which the article is accepted for publication.Upon editorial acceptance of an article, the corresponding author will be notified that payment is due. You, your funding agency or your institution need to pay APCs. We advise prompt payment as we are unable to publish accepted articles until payment has been received. A receipt is generated after the payment is made.

How much I have to pay?

For single Indian authors, it is Rs. 2450/- (including the delivery of single copy and all services mentioned above). In case of Two or more authors, there will be an additional Rs. 200/- per author for processing. Only one copy of print issue will be delivered. In case of additional print copies, aurthors are required to purchase it on an additional payment of Rs. 1000/- per copy.
In case of Outside India authors, it is $100 for single authors. Additonal $10 will be charged for additonal authors. (single copy delivery charges extra for outside India). For additional copies, authors have to purchase on an additional payment of $50 per copy.

There is a word limit of 5000 words (.doc or .docx).But editors and reviewer may have the power to modify the paper. No taxes are included in this charge.

PAYING APCs IS NOT A GUARANTEE OR COMMITMENT FOR PUBLICATION. 

If I am already a subscriber to the Journal of Commerce and Trade, what will be the APCs ?

In no way individual subscription is required as Journal of Commerce and Trade is an open access journal. You can freely scroll, view, cite and download multiple files multiple times. Even you need not login. 
Subscription is available only for institutional libraries.

Can charges be waived if I lack funds ?

Journal of Commerce and Trade is not for profit journal. It operates under low-cost model. The charges include no profit. Hence, no Waiver of APCs is possible.

What is APCs refund policy ?

Journal of Commerce and Trade will refund an article processing charge (APC) if an error on our part has resulted in a failure to publish an article under the open access terms. This may include the failure to make an article openly available on the journal platform, or publication of an article under a different Creative Commons licence from that selected by the author(s). A refund will only be offered if these errors have not been corrected within 30 days of publication.

APCs will not be refunded when articles are retracted as a result of author error or misconduct.
